Fees Payable:
Fees are payable in full before the start of each term. If agreed with DTBD prior to the commencement of the term, payment in two instalments may be permitted. The first instalment is due before the start of the term, and the second is due mid-term. Students will not be permitted to attend sessions if fees have not been paid in advance.

1.2 Fees may be adjusted from time to time and shall become effective with seven days’ notice.
1.3 Initial, Progress and End-of-Year Reports are available upon request and payment received.
2. Absence, Cancellation, and Credits: If a session is missed, consideration will be given for reasons of a family emergency, and a future session may be credited. There is no Credit for illness. A Zoom may be offered when DTBD is given sufficient notice.
2.2 Confirmation of Term Tuition, Holiday Sessions, Assessment Sessions, and Workshops:
Sessions must be paid in advance to confirm Term, Holiday and Assessment sessions. Tuition/sessions will not be deemed confirmed until the invoice is paid.
2.3 If the Tutor cancels a session and cannot offer a Zoom session in place of an in-person session, Dare to be Dyslexic agrees to credit the pre-paid amount and apply it to a future session.
2.4 A Zoom session may be offered if a tutor is unable to teach in person; this will be at the student’s usual session time and day. Sometimes, additional work will be set to support the Zoom session. No credit will be offered in place of an unattended Zoom.
2.5 Dare to be Dyslexic reserves the right to cancel any programme or Workshop due to insufficient enrolment. A full refund will be issued upon cancellation.
3. Arrival Times: No fee adjustment shall be made for time lost because of late arrival by the student or by early termination of the session.
3.1 Sessions will not run beyond the booked times due to the student’s late arrival. Please collect your children at the end of the session. Tutors cannot supervise children once their session has finished.
3.2 Session Start Times. Please drop your children off a couple of minutes before their session is due to start; tutors cannot supervise children who are dropped off early.
4. Make-Up Sessions (Credits) Make-up sessions (Credits) will be scheduled for the next term’s fees.
Other Terms and Conditions:
5. Buddies and Small Groups: A buddy or additional student may be required to join your child’s session time. You will be notified of this amendment and provided with the corresponding pricing adjustment.
5.1 Planning, Privacy, and Protection: The Tutor undertakes to do all preparation prior to lessons and to structure lessons in such a way as to optimise teaching time for the student’s benefit.
5.2 The Tutor shall keep all information confidential about the student and shall contact other parties only with written permission from the student/caregivers to do so.
5.3 The Tutor shall at no time be required or obliged to execute homework or assignments on behalf of the student.
6.1 The Tutor makes no promises or warranties regarding a student’s performance as a result of any tutoring provided within a given timeframe.
6.2 Status of the Tutor: It is expressly understood that the Caregiver retains the services of the Tutor as an independent contractor, not an employee. The Tutor shall be responsible for her insurance and all statutory declarations and contributions regarding income tax.
7. Termination: This tutoring contract may be terminated by either party at any time by giving the other party 14 days’ prior written notice.
8. Copyright: On all activities, teaching plans, and original work and content created by Dare to Be Dyslexic Private Tuition, all rights reserved and copyrighted may not be shared without prior permission.
9. Health and Safety:
Our staff are trained in First Aid.
